Shoes – how to care for them?

No one has to be persuaded that good shoes need to be preserved when used. The method of preservation and the choice of care products depend on the type of leather from which the shoes are made. Taking into consideration the highest quality of our products and customer comfort during their wear we cooperate only with the best tanneries in Poland and abroad. As a result the shoes manufactured are more attractive not only from the point of view of aesthetics or design, but also because they are hygienic and friendly to your feet.

polishing

Due to the fact that in the final stage of production the uppers of the shoes have a special finish, which gives the leather specific looks and protects it from the harmful influence of outside conditions when they are used, we recommend immediate shoe care using shoe polish and oils available on the market. Just before applying a new layer of shoe polish remove all dirt using a wet cloth or sponge. Do not apply a new layer of shoe polish on the old one. If your shoes get soaked, dry them before polishing, but do not place them near heat-emitting devices. Leather as a natural material, like human skin tends to absorb moisture, which makes it more elastic. Severe drying of your shoes will contribute to the hardening of their uppers, which in turn will contribute to the decrease in comfort of their later wearing.

shoe care in winter

A frequently occurring problem, especially in winter time, is salt accumulation on shoes, forming ugly damp patches on the surfaces of shanks. The easiest and the most effective way of removing them from your shoes is to wash them with water and detergent.

drying

When drying soaked shoes, the most useful device are so called shoe trees - more and more often present in the sales offer of professional shoe shops. The task of a shoe tree is to retain the shape of a shoe, close to the one which it was given in the production process. It prevents the shoe deformation during drying and gives them the proper shape in their further use. Generally, it is recommended to use shoe trees every day, which prolongs the shoe life and guarantees its good look during wear. If you do not have shoe trees, a simple and proven way to prevent shoe deformation is placing rolls of paper inside them , e.g. from daily newspapers. Such paper not only prevents the shoe top from deformation but also effectively absorbs moisture from the shoe inside.
